timing is everything huh.
the past two days have shown me horrible commutes home. on monday, the rain poured around 30 minutes before office hours ended, and continued for another half hour before we could leave. i got stuck in a jeep near edsa for 15 minutes due to floods & stubborn cars and a few minutes later, crawled throught the agham intersection (where the stoplight was busted) all the way through city hall. thank god it was smooth sailing after that.
yesterday, karl & i spent around half an hour at national bookstore talking with ana before going home to eat dinner. but my dad said it was raining hard at our place so we decided to eat at trellis first before going home. even after dinner, it was raining hard at commonwealth and traffic crawled until it went past the flood near diliman prep. unfortunately, upong making a u-turn at don antonio, we found that the whole street was clogged with every imaginable vehicle trying to get in. we had to get down from the cab and wait at bpi before we took a tricycle to the bf gate. i couldn't even ask my dad to pick us up at the bank because of the state of the road. i don't know whether to my dismay or to my relief, we found out from our trike driver that the clog was only for a couple of blocks. we could have asked dad to pick us up nearby! in any case, he still fetched us outside the village. karl was patient throughout, except that he turned to stone upon reaching the house and left immediately.
my officemate who left immediately after work was able to arrive home before the rain even started. all because of a 30-minute delay that stretched an hour more.
huh. so much for timing.
