mark & me, the 2 stupid dogs of the poochers. both famous for the deep deep voice of that big, bumbling Barkley look-alike of the said cartoon.
mark, however, has other, better claims-to-fame than i. he has always been known as quite the male package: tall, good-looking for those who love tsinitos, smart, ambitious, artistic, athletic, socially well-adjusted, gentlemanly. The clincher: mark is EVER GOD-FEARING. a blessing to him, a curse to all other depraved females.
so now, in a middle of a CAM project, he's hauling his ass to california like he has no choice. NO CHOICE?!?! well, he HAS no choice. not that the man would ever break the fourth commandment. God-fearing... remember?
so what else is there to do but to party, poocher-style, one last time (at least as far as his parents are concerned)? so party we did, last night, at leo's. the original 8 (mark, leo, skipp, jun, isbel, baby, ais, me) plus ros, sheila, jorem, marie, jo & chamz. after eating, watching old videos & making new ones, we transferred to the historical san fran libis, already too full to accommodate their bestest customers, then to coffee bean & tea leaf in eastwood. i blame my tea latte for today's uncooperative stomach.
it was fun. really fun. it's a lot different than almost exactly a year ago when we took our 20-years-from-now-predictions (which we also watched last night). it's fun to see what seems to be going the way we planned, and to see how others see you. to believe that it can still be done. well. to believe is to see, that's what mark always said.
