i'm back!

sweet beef, we're all back!

h-hmm. it hasn't exactly been all that tiring just being away for four days (two in cebu, two in dumaguete). i had many of the comforts of my normal daily life, and i could sleep when there weren't errands to run or gigs to attend (that's a lot of time), but penny pinching, transfers and logistics also take their toll. thankfully there's much help around - from sir mike, sir alex, tadz, and budoy who knew their way around, the mtv gang's generosity, and junior kilat's mere cheery presence. plus nice meetings and little coincidences - seeing the lighter press group again, gina's cousin winning the mtv band competition (zara smith), a cebuano band winning the motoalert contest (urbandub), meeting kakay and enchi, and finding luigi a.k.a. butchok at the dumaguete airport.

i am also ambivalent about what travelling on business does to one's birthday. at least all my duties were done on that day. but of course, it didn't exactly help to have only a few hours to family and friends. my family took me out to dinner that night, and co-birthday girl k-ann & family almost dined in the same restaurant. even if they changed their mind, at least we were able to greet each other. i decided to stay home and hang out with karl the next day. he gave me a sketch pad (still empty) and a snazzy photo album (still empty save for one photograph). i have yet to celebrate with the poochers and my holy girls.

sadly, things are still very hectic at the office. this overdue post has only been put up now because of my workload. to top it all off, i've been lately inspired to keep ditching work (read previous post entitled "frivolous errands")... after all, it's summer! my resolve to weasel my way out of overtime duties seems to be very strong.

... and so, i'm back!
